Kimberly Taylor, Director of Asset Management
Kimberly Taylor supports organizations to use proactive asset management practices to preserve the health of our region’s affordable housing communities. As director of asset management, Kimberly leads the work of HDC’s asset management department and helps to set organization-wide direction and priorities as a member of HDC’s management team. A passionate educator and group facilitator, Kimberly specializes in leading organizational asset management capacity-building trainings and helping new asset managers gain the skills and tools they need to do their jobs. Kimberly joined HDC as a senior asset management project manager in 2010 and was named director of asset management in 2020. She has worked in the affordable housing industry since 1999 and brings extensive experience in organizational training, portfolio assessment/planning, and LIHTC (low-income-housing tax credit) and HOME compliance. Kimberly worked previously as an asset manager and senior compliance specialist with a Portland-based regional LIHTC syndicator and has provided LIHTC and HOME compliance management for private property management firms. For more than 15 years she has led asset management and compliance trainings for developers, owners, and property managers in the western United States. Kimberly serves on the Housing Development Finance Committee of Our Just Future and the Housing Advisory Committee of Farmworker Housing Development Corporation. She serves on HDC’s communications and “fun” committees. Kimberly has a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation from the National Homebuilders Association and holds a bachelor of arts in journalism from University of Georgia.
