Farmworker and workforce families build community at Colonia Unidad. Watch the video!
Since 1990, Farmworker Housing Development Corporation (FHDC) has developed affordable housing and community assets to uplift farmworkers, immigrants, and low-income families in communities to achieve their goals. But FHDC’s newest housing community isn’t just for farmworkers and their families. Colonia Unidad, which opened in Woodburn in August, provides affordable homes, family-oriented services, and community-building opportunities for farmworkers and for those who work in non-agricultural industries, too. Watch FHDC’s video to learn about the benefits of Colonia Unidad’s inclusive housing model and to hear FHDC residents explain what “community” means to them.
Colonia Unidad was developed with assistance from HDC, a longtime partner of FHDC. Stay tuned for more information about this project on the Development Projects page of this site.
