Renaissance Commons opens to residents. Take the video tour!

Three blocks from the Kenton Commercial Historic District, kitty-corner from 12-acre Kenton Park, and steps from an Interstate MAX stop, Renaissance Commons brings 189 affordable homes to North Portland’s Kenton neighborhood. The new family-friendly housing community welcomes residents negatively impacted by urban renewal in North Portland and offers a mix of larger and smaller apartment units, including 10 deeply affordable studios served by project-based Section 8 rental assistance vouchers.

HDC Senior Construction Project Manager Jenn Sharp started working with owner REACH Community Development to manage construction of the project in 2016, when REACH made a successful proposal to the City of Portland to develop the former TriMet surplus property. “Kenton is wonderful, vibrant North Portland neighborhood, and this development adds to its richness,” Jenn says.
